Let's Just Give Him Praise
Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgives all of your iniquities; who heals all your diseases; Who redeems your life from destruction; who crowns thee with loving-kindness and tender mercies; Who satisfies your mouth with good things; so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's. Psalm 103:1-5
David’s praise focused on God’s glorious deeds. It is easy to find ourselves complaining. But in this Psalm David list plenty of reasons that we should praise God for. He forgives our sins, heals our diseases, he redeemed us from death, he crowns us with love and compassion, he satisfies our desires, and he gives righteousness and justice. We receive all of these without deserving them. No matter how difficult your life may seem, you can always count your blessings past, present, and future. Let's take on an attitude of gratitude, let us learn to praise God in the good, the bad, and the ugly times. When you feel that you have nothing to praise God for, read Psalm 103.
Father we thank you and love you, Lord we will not forget to bless your holy name, Lord we will not forget all your benefits, Lord we thank you that you forgive us for our sins, we thank you that you heal our disease, that you redeemed us from death, we thank you for your love and compassion, and Lord it is you that satisfies our desires. We thank you for your mercy and grace and we will always be careful to give you all the praise that is due to your name in the precious mighty name of Jesus the Christ we pray. Amen.
